This sound is an audio file that slowly breaks up the further it is played. I recorded this with an in-built microphone, no idea what make though. I recorded this on audacity, and added gradual distortion. Warning: you may need to turn down the volume for the last 6 seconds!.

I recorded these birds singing in a forest near sablonceaux in france. I used a zoom h1 recorder. I have no idea wich birds are in the recording, but as soon as i find out, i will update the description.

Recorded near a drainpipe, i have no idea what the bass wind sound in the background is. I think it was some sort of exhaust from the basement around, but i don't know why it turned off and on. In any case it makes for a very spooky ambient effect.

This is my four years old kid singing a long version of the abc's song. The idea of this version is to learn the sounds of every letter in the alphabet. The voice was recorded using the app "tape" by focusrite, with the an ipad's microphone without using any metronome or background track. The song was recorded in february 2014, in quito ecuador.

A live recording of a 100+ choir in rehearsal. Recorded using a matched pair of rode nt5 for the left & right with an additional akg c451 for the centre. The idea of this recording was to capture the way a choirs sound fills a room. Some minor addtional eq has been used in the 35khz range boosting by 1db to give the performance a little oompf.

This is a very lowfi recording of a xerox workcentre 7345 actually performing a copy of a single page. Includes a button beep at the start, fan noise, servo motor sounds, paper sorter moving sounds and lots of other mechanics being moved around. You really get an idea how complicated these modern machines are. . :). The bitrate is only 13 kbit/s and the resulting audio quality not very good, but the file size is really small. Maybe audio level needs normalizing, though.

Recorded with only a small digital video camera at a cafe in pushkar, india. As i sat by the lake one afternoon, two indians sat down on the ground in front of me and began playing this and singing. This is for a video game i was making, but i figured it would be a good idea to share this with everyone. This is supposed to be the sound of a wooden container being violently smashed open, such as a barrel or a box, or even possibly a wooden wall. I borrowed a few sounds from the site, tweaked a little of course, and also added some powerful white noise effects to indicate a hard smash. With some layering with twigs cracking and pieces of wood falling on the floor, i think it sounds pretty authentic. . . Or as authentic as it can get!.

Because original recording of this location is for the investing people for the spesific idea. It is already progressive grooving but after noise reduction and filtering audio, i explore an interesting groove again. It was more progressive than the others. One of a series of foley recordings i made by sticking a piece of contact (sticky plastic of the kind you use to cover books) to a wall and tearing various household objects off it. The idea was to make a fairly comprehensive collection of rips and tears with varying timbral qualities that i could use to design ui sounds effects. Recorded with a rode nt1 into a universal audio arrow. This sound comes from a plastic candy wrapper.

This recording was taken in the edinburgh cbd during the fringe festival in august 2022 in the early evening, around 7pm. I like it because it gives an idea of the unusual way that sounds travel in that city. I could never figure out the reason for it, but it was noticeable to me the whole time i was there. I made a great impersonation of the grudge when she is angry using adiomass and my own voice! i thought it was a good idea since i had figured out how to make that sound a long time ago (like 2 months or something) the scream you may hear at the end was me breathing out but because i added 250% more gain over and over again i ended up sounding like i met the "grudge". Good for horror movies and possibly a grudge 2 (although i already saw the old grudge 2 this would be a remake. ).

Autorickshaw: a field recording made in bangalore india, of a ride home in an autorickshaw. This was long before the days of electric autorickshaws (~year 2000), so the recording is the sound of the nasty, polluting-well-above-its-weight two-stroke petrol-engine variety. I was going home from a night out with with several friends spread out over three autorickshaws and sometimes you can hear the others in the recording. (the picture is not the actual autorickshaw in the recording, the photo is from pakistan. I didn't get a photo of the one in the recording, but you get the idea. ). Recorded on sony minidisc.

Inspired by amliebsch's "voice from hell" sound, i decided to take a crack at making something similar. This was made with my own voice. If you want to know what it's saying, it's:. This recording is inspired by alienxxx http://freesound. Org/people/alienxxx/sounds/345510/made a little patch on my modular, still missing its (main) oscillators. I let the patch sound thru a pair of cheap computer speakers that i use as monitors. In an adjacent room, close to an open window, i put my phone and record. This is the unedited outcome. The recording was made 09:00 (16-05-11). Unfortunately nothing happened outside the window. Even the birds was quiet. I think there is a hint of feedback in the sound? first i planned to record with an old tape recorder, but i couldn’t find it. . . I think this recording should be listened to with low volume. May by it was a mistake to amplify the sound in audacity? but i think there is a nice room ambiance to the recording. Ideas for next time. Use guitar amp. Find old tape recorder. Music i made in garageband for something called victors crypt. The original idea was this melody i made on acoustic guitar. I'm currently working on some musical ideas for a good friend's cartoon series and thought i'd upload this little experiment with an old vinyl of some mozart. I recorded the output of my deck and messed with the speed and pitch, as well reversing the audio and adding some distortion and other effects once it was in my daw. Just joined. Here's my first submission :). Recorded a few samples of "voice horror", a friend and i were going to make a short film but it never panned out. Basically the sound is a "disembodied voice" recorded on some tech that the entity damaged the quality or something. Used several filters and a vocoder. The idea was to vocalize the first parts in a way that it would be hard to understand, having the viewer listen more closely, and build the fear with the audible phrase ". . . And now there's somebody living on the other side of the wall and i think he can see usssss".

This started out as a good idea for one of my projects but began to have a life of it's own as i rolled up my sleeves and fussed over every detail. As you will hear, this sound file/track embraces panning like their is no tomorrow. You should be able to fold your sounds into it. Either snaking through it with your own panning sounds, or laying your sounds straight down the middle. - you should find several looping points within the 2:28 runtime. Most of the sounds i upload are from songs where i have lost my direction. In sharing them here, i hope someone can pick them up and make them part of something beautiful.
